How to Level Artifacts in AFK Journey
Leveling Artifacts in AFK Journey is easy and only requires two resources:
- Gold
- Artifact Shards
If you have enough of these two you will be able to level each of your artifacts and you won’t have to worry about them.
To level your artifacts all you have to do is follow the steps below:
- Launch AFK Journey
- Open Resonating Hall
- Click on Artifacts
- Choose your Artifact
- Click to Level the Artifact
NOTE: If you still do not have the Artifacts tab unlocked you must first progress through the main story until you reach Holistone which is where you will receive your first artifact.
Leveling your artifacts whenever you can is important as they will play a huge part in your progression. As mentioned one of the factors that might hinder your progress in leveling your artifacts is their Artifact Shards.

How to Get Artifact Shards
To level up artifacts you need Gold and a set amount of Artifact Shards. Each artifact has its own specific Artifact Shard which can only be obtained by completing a certain quest in the Growth Trials.
You can browse through the requirements and mission for each Artifact Shard by going to the Growth Trials and scrolling until you see the specific quest.
These quests are generally easy to do and you’ll complete them by just playing the game.
