AFK Journey May 16 Hotfix: All Changes and Compensation Rewards

After the release of their Song of Strife season, AFK Journey was faced with a lot of backlash from players, with even a large part of the community refunding all of their purchases.

This was because the new season introduced a ton of new features, which unfortunately had severely reduced rewards compared to the rewards players got from the Starter Game.

Lilith Games quickly addressed this and will conduct a hotfix that will take care of most issues.

In this article, we’ll go over everything that will be changing and what rewards players can expect after the hotfix.

Hotfix Date

The hotfix will take place tomorrow, May 16, but there still isn’t an exact time frame for when we can expect it. Like previous hotfixes, we can expect the game to remain live, meaning that you won’t suffer any downtime while the hotfix takes place.

Keep in mind that this is only speculation based on previous hotfixes, and we cannot guarantee that AFK Journey will not go down during the hotfix.

Hotfix Changes

There are two types of major changes that the May 16th hotfix will address. Those are:

• Compensation Change
• Bug Fixes

The one that the player base is most hyped for, without a doubt, is the reward compensation that will be issued to all players.

In the list below, you can see all the reward changes that will occur after the hotfix:

• Increased Season [AFK Stage] progress rewards.
• Increased Season [Legend Trial] rewards.
• Increased Season [Corrupt Creature] first defeat rewards.
• Increased rewards for specific [chests on the map].
• Increased Desolate Grounds rewards in [Battle Drills].

Additionally, Lilith Games also addressed the low rewards for the current Season Noble Path and will make changes. The following rewards will be added to the Season Noble Path:

These additional rewards will finally make the Season Noble Path worth it, and those who have already bought it will find a nice reward in their Mail tomorrow.

Bug Fixes

Alongside the reward compensation, the hotfix will also include fixes for several bugs that have been present in the game. You can see all the bugs that will be addressed below:

• Fixed the issue in Supreme Arena with discrepancies in the enemy team power previews.
• Fixed the issue in Battle Drills where boss health values were inaccurate.
• Fixed the issue in Supreme Arena where the settlement results did not match the combat process seen by players while using the Raging Duel mode.
• Fixed the issue where quantities did not refresh after purchasing resources from the Emporium due to insufficient Hero Ascension materials.
• Fixed the issue where the season opening popup would trigger multiple times.
• Fixed the issue where hero upgrade popups appeared despite insufficient Gold.
• Fixed the issue where red dot prompts for certain titles would not disappear.
• Fixed the description error of the Vilebone Pendant in Honor Duel.
• Fixed issues with some untranslated text.
• Fixed an issue where discrepancies between the client and server's battle results were causing incorrect calculations. We'll keep an eye on any further feedback regarding this matter.

All in all, this is a solid hotfix and will likely help ease the negative feelings the community has been experiencing since the season’s release.

Although the damage has already been done and many players have refunded their purchases, it is clear the Lilith Games are trying to make amends for their decisions, and we’ll see what will happen with other seasons in the future.
