Alan Wake 2 - Every Cult Stash Location and Solution in Watery

In Alan Wake 2, when you find and open a Cult Stash, you get helpful things just like you would from finding Lunchboxes and Nursery Rhymes. Finding these stashes is something extra you can do while you're moving Saga around Bright Falls and the places near it, trying to figure out the mystery of the Tree Cult.

We've put together a guide that will point out where these Cult Stashes are hidden around Watery.

Where to Find Cult Stashes in Watery

In Watery, there are eight Cult Stashes, and you can go find them as the character Saga after you finish playing as Alan for the first time. These boxes have useful things like ammo, and one even has a crossbow, a strong weapon for shooting far away.

If you don't find all the stashes your first time in Watery, don't worry – you can always go back and get them later.

Cult Stash #1

Near downtown Watery, after your first fight with the Taken Throwers, follow the path into the woods. Turn right at a ridge before a rest shack. The stash is there, on the ridge's edge.

It has a lock like one you've seen before (The Simon says one). Match the pattern.

You'll get a propane tank and shotgun shells.

Cult Stash #2

North of downtown, find a safe room with a generator.

After saving, look under an awning by the shooting range for the stash.

The code is 527, which you figure out from the target practice area – count the bolts in the numbers 5, 2, and 7.

Cult Stash #3

Inside Coffee World, at the base of the Slow Roaster Ferris Wheel, there's another stash.

The code is 147, hinting at "only striped cups." Look at the wheel's numbered and striped carriages to figure it out.

You'll get shotgun and handgun ammo.

Cult Stash #4

 Also in Coffee World, behind the Huotari Well, there's a stash. The hint is "what hides behind the smile" – it's about Drippy, the mascot.

Find a key behind the giant coffee pot statue.

The stash will reward you with some ammo.

Cult Stash #5

West of Watery Lighthouse, climb a ledge near a rock for another stash.

You need to match symbols with Roman numerals to open it.

The code involves triangles in different positions:

• A pair of downward-facing triangles, one on top of the other.
• A pair of upward-facing triangles, one on top of the other.
• Two triangles side by side, both pointing downward.

Inside, you'll find a propane tank, an arrow, and pistol ammo.

Cult Stash #6

 After stopping the flood, go to the trailer south of Saga's. The stash is under an awning.

The key is on an electrical box up a ramp to your right.

Inside, you'll find an arrow, a propane tank, and a first-aid item.

Cult Stash #7

Downtown, on a dock, solve a math problem about battery amps to open a stash.

You have 3 batteries (B1, B2, B3) and together they've got 1600 Amps. B2's got 128 Amps more than B3, and B1's got twice what B3 has. You need to work out how many Amps B2's got. The answer, which is also the code to open the box, is 496.

How to Solve It?

Take 128 off of 1600, and you've got 1472. Then you split that into 4 parts (because B1's got twice as much as B3, it's like having 4 batteries). That gives you B3's power: 368. Double that, and B1's got 736. Add 128 to B3's number for B2, and you have 496.

Cult Stash #8

 With bolt cutters from the nursing home, go to the Kalevala Knights Workshop.

Cut the lock, fight enemies, and count the spare parts, or just use the code 542.

You'll get a flashbang, a flare, and rifle and shotgun ammo.
