How to Unlock
In Black Beacon, you can unlock the gacha system relatively quickly. When you first boot up the game, you will be taken through a sequence of missions and story, and after completing a set of them, you will be asked to do a test pull in the gacha.
The gacha, or [Retrieval] function, unlocks right after you have completed the 1-4 Chapter [Reunion with Ereshan]. Upon completing this mission, you will be guided to the [Retrieval] menu, where you will be asked to complete a 10-pull test on one of the banners. Below is a quick summary of how to unlock the gacha in Black Beacon.

Which Banner to Summon On

After you’ve unlocked the gacha, you will notice that there are currently a lot of banners you can choose from, and honestly, at first, it might seem a bit overwhelming. However, there is no need to worry, as it is quite simple to decide on which banner to summon. Upon unlocking the Retrieval function, you will be asked to do a 10-pull on the [Mortal Wanderings] banner. This is the standard banner for the game. The first time you do 30 pulls on this banner, you will be given the chance to choose from one of the game’s standard 5-star units to add to your roster. We recommend summoning on this banner first, as it will let you start the game strong and allow you to quickly expand your roster. You might think that you won’t have enough pulls, but if you go to the main menu once after unlocking the gacha, you will be able to interact with the [Mail] system and claim all of the pre-registration rewards, which should give you just enough pulls to get to 30 on the [Mortal Wanderings] banner.
The [Mortal Wanderings] banner uses your standard [Lost Time Keys], so you don’t need to worry about summoning on this banner at all. However, you will also notice that you have another currency known as the [Time-Seeking Key]. These keys can be used on the limited-time banners. The current limited-time banners are known as [Ancient Covenant] and [Holy Oath Blossoms]. If you decide to spend your Time-Seeking Keys, we recommend pulling on the Holy Oath Blossoms banner, as it offers the new limited-time unit Florence, which should help you get a good head start in the game!
