Changes & Reasons Behind Them
Nerfs

Barbarian King’s Earthquake Boots (Common Equipment)
The combination of Earthquake Boots and Spiky Ball is too OP at higher Town Hall levels. To address this, the damage dealt to buildings by Earthquake Boots is being reduced. The ability will still be effective in breaking compartments but will no longer be completely overpowered when paired with Spiky Ball. Skeleton Trap skeletons will no longer be affected by the ability as well. This will increase the likelihood of the Barbarian King being distracted, thereby introducing a fairer balance.
Grand Warden’s Fireball (Epic Equipment)
The Fireball’s last radius upgrade is being moved to a higher Equipment level. This adjustment is intended to maintain fairness in competitive play by making sure that the Fireball doesn't become too dominant in the game’s meta.
Royal Champion’s Electro Boots (Epic Equipment)
Electro Boots are one of the most-used pieces of Equipment in Clash of Clans. As mentioned before, Supercell does not want specific items to dominate the meta. The effectiveness of the boots is being nerfed to keep things balanced. Additionally, the Invisibility Spell’s duration is being reduced by 0.25 seconds per level. Despite these changes, Electro Boots will continue to function well in conjunction with multiple Invisibility Spells, though they will no longer be as OP.

Buffs

Barbarian King’s Vampstache (Common Equipment)
To encourage the use of Vampstache, it is being buffed to make it a more competitive option for the Barbarian King.
Barbarian King’s Barbarian Puppet (Common Equipment)
This Equipment is more viable as a starting option, now that its effectiveness is being improved.
Archer Queen’s Archer Puppet (Common Equipment)
Like the Barbarian Puppet, this Equipment is getting a buff. Now it will supposedly be a strong starting choice for Clash of Clans players experimenting with the Archer Queen’s Equipment.

Grand Warden’s Life Gem (Common Equipment)
Life Gem has underperformed compared to other Grand Warden Equipment. This buff will change things, making it a better option, particularly for armies featuring larger troops that require more housing space. The change is designed to enhance its strategic utility across different attack strategies.
Royal Champion’s Royal Gem (Common Equipment)
Among all Royal Champion Equipment, Royal Gem has had the lowest popularity and effectiveness rates. Although it is classified as Common Equipment, the Supercell team believes it deserves an improvement. This buff will make it a more practical choice, especially for early-game players or those at lower Equipment levels.

Future Considerations: Grand Warden’s Lavaloon Puppet
Many Clash of Clans players have been vocal about asking for a buff for the Grand Warden’s Lavaloon Puppet (Epic Equipment). While current data indicates low popularity and hit rate, developers have opted to hold off on immediate adjustments. Two key reasons inform this decision:
-
Potential Strength at Higher Levels – Players who have invested in upgrading the Lavaloon Puppet have found it to be quite effective, particularly in Dragon-based attack strategies.
-
Time for Player Adaptation – Some Equipment requires additional time for players to unlock, upgrade, and explore its full potential. Developers will continue to monitor its performance and reassess the need for a buff in the coming months.
These balance changes are introduced so the Clash of Clans gameplay is fair. The adjustments seek to promote strategic diversity while preventing any single Equipment from becoming overly dominant. Stay tuned for further updates and refinements based on player feedback and game performance data!
