Diablo 4 Season 3: Helltide Commander Locations

Diablo 4's third season has been out for a little over a week now, and players have had ample time to try out all the new mechanics and activities introduced into the game. With the addition of the Seneschal Construct companion, new Arcane Tremor and Vault dungeon locations, as well as the first stationary boss fight in the game, there is no shortage of content for players to sink their teeth into.

One of the best ways for players to experience everything the game has to offer is by completing their Seasonal Journey tasks. These tasks aim to guide you in the right direction depending on your level while also granting you some in-game rewards. One of the new tasks in the Seasonal Journey is called 'Heads of the Snake,' requiring you to defeat 6 Helltide Commanders to complete it. As these Helltide Commanders can be a bit hard to identify, in this article, we are going to help you find and defeat them.

Diablo 4 Helltide Commander Locations

In order to find Helltide Commanders in Diablo 4, you will first need to travel to a zone that is under the influence of a Helltide. In Season 3, Helltides are now available at all times, with only a 5-minute intermission between them. Helltide Commanders can be found at the end of certain events scattered throughout the zone.

Keep in mind that these events (marked by orange circles) are random, so you might have to wait for them to reset before finding the right one. Here are all the methods we have found for summoning and defeating Helltide Commanders:

• Portal Invasion: A Helltide Commander will always spawn at the end of a Portal Invasion event during Helltides. This event requires you to destroy 7 portals before the time runs out.

• Storm Summoner: A Helltide Commander will always spawn at the end of a Storm Summoner event during Helltides. This event requires you to destroy 5 different effigies before the time runs out.

• Kixxarth, Helltide Assassin: While it does not explicitly say that Kixxarth is a Helltide Commander, he does count towards the progress of the Seasonal Journey. You will be able to find this boss patrolling in different areas of the Helltide.

These were the best methods we found for locating and defeating Helltide Commanders for Diablo 4's new Seasonal Journey task.
