In Dragon's Dogma 2, you not only have the ability to choose between 10 different Vocations, but you can also switch on the fly to each and every one of them whenever you decide. The game will even reward you for experimenting, by granting you different passive abilities, called Augments, for putting some time into each of these Vocations. While some of these classes are available right at the start of the game, six of them have to be unlocked by completing quests in the open-world. The game does not really tell you where you can find them either, so you can either choose to look for them yourself or get some help externally.

One of the fan-favorite Vocations from the first game is the Magick Archer, and fans of the series can be happy that the class is back in the sequel. In this article, we are going to show you how and where you can find and unlock the Magick Archer Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Dragon's Dogma 2: How to Unlock the Magick Archer Vocation

The Magick Archer Vocation is one of the returning classes from the original Dragon's Dogma back in 2012. It is a hybrid class that modifies the Archer by adding new magical abilities to most of their long-range shots. In order to unlock the Magick Archer Vocation, you are going to have to complete the "Put a Spring in Thy Step" quest, which can be found in the Agamen Volcanic Island region, right after exiting the Drabnir's Grotto dungeon in Battahl.

After leaving Drabnir's Grotto, you will be able to find an older gentleman, by the name of Gautstafr, who is going to be hunched back and complaining about his back. By speaking to him, he will ask you to bring him three different types of wildflowers, which can be any of the ones you can find in the open-world, including Greenwarish, Syrupwort Leaf, and Pityworth. Once he receives his wildflowers, he is going to ask you to help him reach his home, which is just to the north of where you find him.

Once you reach his home, he will have a talk with his wife, Cliodhna, and she will ask you to take him to the Volcanic Island Camp to the east. You can either escort him there or just pick him up and carry him on your shoulder. Either way, take Gautstafr with you and head towards the camp. Once you reach the springs, you are going to be presented with a small cutscene of him speaking to his wife again. After this cutscene ends, speak with his wife and you will unlock the Magick Archer Vocation.
