A Game-Changing Update

On January 16th, StudioZac took to Discord to hint at a major transformation in the Dress To Impress Discord, stating, “Let’s just say the game is going to feel brand new.” Now, the reason behind that statement has been unveiled - the brand-new gameplay mode: Style Showdown.
New DTI Gameplay Mode: Style Showdown
Up until now, Dress To Impress has offered two gameplay options: Regular Play and Freeplay. They weren't that different, with the second one having no theme and timer. Players can participate in the Regular Server, VIP Server, and Pro Server, depending on their number of stars and VIP status. However, with this new reveal, a fresh and dynamic mode is about to shake things up.
Earlier this week, Dress To Impress shared an image showcasing a circular sunken stage area, salon chairs lining the wall, a heart-shaped cutout illuminated by lightbulbs, and a luxurious pink satin stage curtain. This scene sets the stage for the much-anticipated Style Showdown mode.

What's Style Showdown in DTI?

If you’re active in the Dress To Impress Discord, you may have noticed popular private server themes inspired by RuPaul's Drag Race. This upcoming mode appears to be influenced by the pop-culture phenomenon, with the trailer completely mimicking the start of the runway segment in RPDR, along with very similar music.
The Style Showdown mode will introduce four major gameplay features:
-
Double Elimination – Two players will be eliminated each round, adding extra intensity. Similar to the way RuPaul's Drag Race eliminates one of the two 'bottom' queens.
-
Immunity Idol – A special item that grants a player immunity from elimination, similar to the mechanics seen in Survivor.
-
Vote Reveal – Players will see who voted for whom, creating potential for high-stakes drama.
-
Speed Round – A faster round with a shorter timer than the usual 325 seconds.
The introduction of Vote Reveal is particularly intriguing—imagine the drama when players find out who voted against them!
Special Host

If you've seen RPDR, you'll know that Ru herself walks down the runway podium during the intro, Well, in the Style Showdown trailer we see the new host who's none other than the game's iconic Lana character.

Style Showdown Release Date
The Dress To Impress Style Showdown mode will officially launch on February 8th, coinciding with the game’s Valentine’s Day update. That’s not all—the team has also teased a Lunar New Year update.
Racers, start your engines, and may the best... outfit win. With all these exciting new features on the horizon, it’s clear that Dress To Impress is going to get even more popular in the next few months. Stay tuned!
