The best horse you can use in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the [Red Hare]. The [Red Hare] is a famous horse that has even left a mark in history, due to being the horse of the legendary general Lü Bu. In the game, the Red Hare is one of the horses with the highest stats and also the horse with the highest mounted charge damage. This makes it a good choice for mowing through groups of enemies on the battlefield. That being said, while the Red Hare is an amazing choice, getting it is a bit hard, and you can only obtain it in the post-game.

The second-best horse you can use in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the [Birch]. The Birch’s stats are second best only to the Red Hare’s, and while it doesn’t excel at mowing through groups of enemies, its strengths lie in helping you cover huge distances thanks to its increased mounted charge distance. It is the horse with one of, if not the highest, distance covered while dashing, and it is the best horse you can get before you manage to obtain the [Red Hare].

The third-best horse you can get in the game is [Chestnut]. Chestnut is a great horse to use if you want to stay out of harm’s way. It allows you to go outside of battles so that you can recharge and is great for escaping. While its speed and endurance aren’t the highest, Chestnut offers great defensive capabilities and gets even faster the lower the HP of the Wanderer, making it a great safety horse.
