Fortnite: Everything About The New Superman Event

If you're as excited about the new Superman movie as we are, you'll love the new Fortnite event, starting on July 11. It will bring new gameplay features, skins, unlockables, and powerful Kryptonian abilities for players to experience. Let's take a look at everything you might want to know about Superman's arrival in Fortnite.

How To Unlock Superman's Powers in Fortnite? 

Starting July 11 at 9 AM ET, a special item called Superman’s Call crystal will begin appearing in every Battle Royale and Zero Build match. The first player to grab this crystal will Superman’s unstoppable powers. This includes flight, heat vision to melt structures, and superhuman strength.

However, getting these powers isn't a guaranteed win, and they come at a risk: if opponents manage to defeat you while empowered, you will revert to your normal state and be sent back to the battlefield via rift.

Fortress of Solitude

From July 15, players can visit Superman’s Fortress of Solitude, an icy stronghold inspired by the Arctic. This new location serves as a superhero base where Superman offers services in exchange for Bars. It’s the perfect refuge for players looking to regroup and prepare for their next battle.

New Gear at Academy Tech Labs

Academy Tech Labs gives players access to new items. Among the highlights are:

• Exotic Unstable Bounce Grenade: Bounces multiple times and explodes with each bounce, offering chaotic combat opportunities.

• Exotic Unstable Thunderclap DMR: Fires an explosive bullet every third shot, dealing area damage to nearby enemies.

Additionally, the new Surging Speed Boon can be found in Chests or purchased at Tech Labs. This upgrade increases sprint speed and reduces Energy consumption, with even greater benefits unlocked at higher Hero Ranks — especially at Rank S.

How To Unlock the Superman Outfit and Exclusive Rewards?

Players who own the Super Battle Pass can unlock the Superman Outfit starting July 11 by earning 12 Account Levels. Experience points (XP) from all game modes contribute to progress. This makes the task achievable for dedicated players.

But the rewards don't end there! You can also grab Superman’s Pen & Ink Style — a comic-inspired design by legendary artist Jim Lee — as well as themed accessories like the Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, and Super Save Emote. These exclusive cosmetics are available until the end of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 6 Season 3: Super.
