Fortnite x Star Wars: Release Date & Everything We Know So Far

Fortnite x Star Wars Release Date

The official Star Wars account and Fortnite on X released a trailer teasing content for  LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and the Battle Royale mode. From the trailer, we can see that the Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration is set to launch on May 3rd, 2024. The event will bring a slew of new Star Wars-themed content to Fortnite just in time for the unofficial Star Wars Day on May 4th!

What to Expect in Fortnite x Star Wars

While full details have not been revealed yet, leaks from reliable sources like HYPEX suggest the return of lightsabers and Force abilities to the game. There are also rumors of a new mythic "Wookie Bowcaster" weapon and a potential Chewbacca skin.

The Fortnite Festival announcement brings the potential for iconic Star Wars music to be featured in the game. HYPEX also added on another tweet that Fortnite Festivals are adding John Williams's "Cantina Band" too. However, it's unknown if this will be a separate in-game concert experience or music integrated into existing modes.

While not confirmed by developers, the data miner has a proven track record with Fortnite leaks. This event might also tie into a recent leak hinting at a Mandalorian collaboration, which could extend to Rocket League.

New Leia Organa Skin

In addition to the crossover news, Fortnite data miners have uncovered evidence of a new Leia Organa skin variant called "Rebel Leia Organa" that is currently in development. This will likely be a separate skin rather than a selectable style for the existing Leia outfit.
