The Mid-Season Invitational is in full swing with a total of 10 teams from across all major regions competing in the second international League of Legends tournament of the year. This time around, the competition seems incredibly fierce given how brutal the format is with Fearless Draft and only best-of-five (Bo5) series for the entirety of MSI.
Having said that, let's take a look at the match between the LEC second seed G2 Esports and the LTA South team FURIA.

A fantastic way to kick off the tournament given the banger series that went to 5 games despite fans and analysts predicting a 3-0 or 3-1 win for G2 Esports. Not only did the Brazilian team catch everyone off-guard, especially their opponents. Regardless, Caps was able to lock in and give us a great Yone game in the final leap of the match but the LTA South representative should stand proud for putting up quite the fight.
Overall, the League of Legends community is excited to see how MSI 2025 will unfold as the Esports scene has been significantly rejuvenated given the Fearless Draft format implementation making the competitive aspect of the game even more entertaining to watch.
