Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, one of the most, if not the most, anticipated characters from Natlan, is finally making an appearance after close to 6 months of waiting. Unlike other Archons, which were released in the second patch of their respective versions, Mavuika decided to make us wait a bit more, finally releasing in Genshin Impact Version 5.3. But her release was well worth the wait, as she is a character that can do practically everything. And below you can find exactly how to build her!

Mavuika is an interesting character that can be played in two ways depending on how you wish to use her. For one, she can be played as an off-field pyro applicator. Mavuika’s Pyro application is bonkers, to put it mildly. Her off-field application works in the same way as the one for Raiden. All you need to do is press her Elemental Skill and switch her out. That is it. Her Pyro application occurs every two seconds, and it does a good chunk of damage, so any character that benefits from an off-field Pyro applicator, like Kinich, will be absolutely thrilled to have Mavuika on their teams.
The second part of Mavuika is her on-field DPS playstyle. Unlike the Pyro applicator playstyle, playing Mavuika on-field requires a bit more action. But this is compensated by the fact that you get to swing her giant motorcycle around. While swinging her motorcycle around is fun, she cannot do it for an extended duration. That, however, is where her Ultimate comes into play. Mavuika’s Elemental Burst turns her into an amazing DPS unit that is able to shred through almost anything. It also extends the duration of her motorcycle mode, thus easily allowing her to do more damage. The unique thing about Mavuika’s ultimate is that it does not work with energy. It works by consuming Fighting Spirit. Casting Mavuika’s ultimate costs 200 Fighting Spirit, and you can accumulate Fighting Spirit by consuming either Mavuika’s or any other character’s Nightsoul Points. This also means that Mavuika will generally want to be played with other Natlan characters so that you can get the most out of her damage. In short, Mavuika is a really awesome character that you might just want to try and get on your roster!

Mavuika Best Weapons
When it comes to weapons, there is no doubt that Mavuika’s best choice is her signature Claymore, the [A Thousand Blazing Suns]. This weapon provides her with a great boost to CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, making her easy to build and greatly increasing her damage. That being said, there are also other great options you can use on her, and any Claymore with good critical stats should be usable on her!
Rank | W-Engine | Effect |
1 | A Thousand Blazing Suns |
Gain the "Scorching Brilliance" effect when using an Elemental Skill or Burst: CRIT DMG increased by 20% and ATK increased by 28% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every 10s. While a "Scorching Brilliance" instance is active, its duration is increased by 2s after Normal or Charged attacks deal Elemental DMG. This effect can trigger once every second, and the max duration increase is 6s. Additionally, when the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, "Scorching Brilliance" effects are increased by 75%, and its duration will not count down when the equipping character is off-field. |
2 | Beacon of the Reed Sea |
After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32%. |

Mavuika Best Artifacts
The best set for Mavuika changes depending on the playstyle you wish to go for. If you wish to use Mavuika as an on-field DPS, then go for the [Obsidian Codex]. If you, however, wish to use her as an off-field pyro applicator, then your best bet is the [Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City].

Mavuika Skill Priority
Lastly, for skill priority, you will generally want to level both the Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill. This is regardless of the playstyle you choose for her. From the two, you first want to focus on her Burst, followed by her Skill. But we suggest leveling the two equally to get the most out of Mavuika’s damage.

Elemental Skill = Elemental Burst > Normal Attack |
