Genshin Impact Version 5.5 releases tomorrow on March 26, 2025, and alongside the version release, players will get the chance to pull on two new character banners and one weapon banner. This version will feature two new unique units for you to add to your roster, and in this piece, we’ll go over both the character and weapon banners you can expect in the first phase of Version 5.5.

Cornucopia of Contention will give players the chance to summon the new 5-star unit, Varesa (Electro). In addition, this banner will also give you the chance to obtain the new 4-star unit, Iansan (Electro). Alongside these two units, players can also expect to receive boosted drop rates for the 4-star units Chevreuse (Pyro) and Gaming (Pyro).

The Crane Soars Skyward banner is a rerun banner featuring the 5-star unit, Xianyun (Anemo), or Cloud Retainer, as you may know her. Alongside Cloud Retainer, players will also get a boosted drop rate for the following 4-star characters:

The weapon banner for this time around will feature two 5-star catalysts. Out of these two catalysts, the Vivid Notions is the new weapon that will be added in Version 5.5 and is also the signature weapon for the 5-star unit Varesa. The Crane's Echoing Call is a rerunning weapon that also happens to be the signature weapon for Cloud Retainer. The Vivid Notions is a decent DPS catalyst that greatly increases its wearer’s CRIT DMG and ATK%, while the Crane’s Echoing Call is a nice support weapon. Alongside these 5-star weapons, players will also get boosted drop rates for the following 4-star weapons:
- Sturdy Bone (Sword)
- Fruitful Hook (Claymore)
- Mountain-Bracing Bolt (Polearm)
- Waveriding Whirl (Catalyst)
- Flower-Wreathed Feathers (Bow)
