The upcoming Version 5.6 for Genshin Impact is steadily approaching, and the time has finally come for the developers to show us what they’ve been cooking behind the scenes and try to wow us with the new content they have coming for us in Version 5.6. The previous couple of versions have been a bit on the weaker end, and the community has been quite apprehensive towards Genshin in the recent days, so it is interesting to see if this livestream will be able to shake things up and maybe introduce something new that will make us want to log back in again.

Livestream Date
The Version 5.6 livestream is set to go live this Friday,
April 25, 2025, at 08:00 AM (UTC-4)
As usual, this means that our American audience will get to watch the program with their morning coffee, while those of you from Europe might find yourself taking your lunch or even your afternoon cup of tea as the livestream rolls around. The livestream is expected to last no more than an hour, so if you have the time and want to tune in, feel free to do so. Even if you do not manage, miHoYo always keeps VODs of their livestreams on their YouTube channel, so you will also be able to watch it later.

What to Expect
Currently, we know that this new update will bring forth two new characters, Escoffier (5-star) and Ifa (4-star). In addition, from the livestream reveal image, we can see that a lot of characters from Mondstadt have made an appearance, so it is interesting how the story and events will tie into that.
