Who is Katalina
Katalina once swore an oath of knighthood to the Erste Empire, but those days are long behind her. Her knightly duty continues, though now in the service of protecting Lyria.
Katalina is one of the starter characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink that offers players a good mix between DPS and Support.
She is a new player friendly character, but thanks to her Ares mechanic, which is important for the majority of her damage, she has some depth to her play style making her fun to learn.
You can either decide to play her as a Sub-DPS/Support unit, however, in this guide we’ll go over how you can make her your Main DPS carry and help her deal a ton of damage!

Winter's Rain
- A multi-hit attack that deals high amount of stun. Deals more whites when attacking with Ares.
Frozen Blade
- A ranged ice spell that can be cast twice in a row before entering cooldown. Deals more hits when attacking with Ares.
Sacred Winds
- Casts an ice spell that inflicts Glaciate. Hold while casting to prolong the duration. Area of effect widens while Ares is summoned.
Light Wall
- Grant Invincibility to Katalina. Grants Invincibility to the entire party instead while Ares is summoned.

Katalina Best Weapons
As with any other character focusing on DPS we first recommend you start building towards maxing your Stinger Weapon - [Luminiera Sword Omega], as it gives an amazing boost to both Crit Rate and Crit DMG.

After this you can proceed towards leveling and ascending your Ascension Weapon, or Terminus Weapon if you have happened to get them.

Katalina Best Sigils
As with any other character you will like to first get Katalina’s signature sigils, and then start building towards maxing your Damage Cap as much as possible, preferably to the max.
When you’ve done this you can work towards some Supplementary Damage sigils, or maybe trying to squeeze in some Crit Rate or DMG if your build allows it.

- Grants Supplementary Damage to Katalina and boosts her damage cap while Ares is summoned.
Guardian's Honor
- Shortens Katalina's skill cooldowns when Ares is summoned.
War Elemental
- All attacks count as the superior element.
Critical Damage
- Boosts damage dealt by critical hits.
Damage Cap
- Raises the damage limit of attacks.
Supplementary Damage
- Grants a certain chance for normal attacks and damage skills to deal supplementary damage.
Improved Dodge
- Extends the window for foe attacks to miss during a dodge. Allows you to perform more dodges in a row.
Critical Hit Rate
- Boosts critical hit rate.

Summary
Katalina is a great character to build right off the bat, and you can start using her even at Chapter 1.
Thanks to her ability to both support your team while also dealing a ton of damage, and having great survivability, Katalina is a great pick for any beginner.
Once you’ve grown used to her Ares mechanic and have learned to master it you will begin to use it to your advantage to deal even more damage.
Katalina is a character that is both easy to pick up, but takes some time to master, making her great for those who wish to have a bit of a learning curve and like playing slightly faster characters.
