Finally, the League of Legends EMEA Championship has kicked off, and there are so many changes to be excited about. Not only has the game changed due to gameplay adjustments, but the massive roster changes in the LEC might result in a quite fun and exhilarating year of professional play.
With that in mind, we will briefly go over the fifth match of the day which has GIANTX facing Karmine Corp.

GX vs KC Picks and Bans
We will take a look at the picks and bans of the game. Although the first three weeks of the LEC will feature best-of-one matches (Bo1), we will soon get to see the pros adapt to the new Fearless Draft format that has been adapted for all major regions.

A spectacular early game on the side of GX as not only did Closer get Yike's camps, but the lane swaps ended up helping Lot gain some XP and gold, with Canna falling behind on Ambessa. LEC fans were surprised to see GX and KC contesting the top spot so early into the Winter Split, but it seems the roster changes have generally improved the entire LEC region, bringing a more competitive and entertaining professional league.
GX was simply the better team, and despite all of KC's efforts, GIANTX was able to secure their perfect 3-0 result for Week 1 of 2025 LEC Winter Split.
