Even though Helldivers 2 is becoming one of the best games fans have played in a long time, the shooter still has some bugs that Arrowhead still needs to fix. Recently players across the game have had major problems with their galaxy map and weren't seeing how the war went.
The developers behind Helldivers 2 have chosen to address these problems in a unique way. Instead of coming out and robotically stating they repaired the problem with the galaxy map and are working on improving the gameplay across the board, they have decided to act as if these problems were part of the game’s canon.

Galactic War Map Glitch Blamed on Dissidents in Helldivers 2
In case you missed the in-game dispatch, Super Earth reported that a group of Dissidents caused the problems with our systems. Luckily, authorities have captured them and executed them for their crimes.
A recent systems security breach has resulted in Galactic War tables displaying inaccurate information. The breach has been addressed, and all systems have been returned to normal operation. Any discrepancies are to be considered the result of dissident misinformation. Rest assured that the parties responsible have been identified, arrested, tried, and executed.

Gamers have admitted their appreciation of how Arrowhead is dealing with things. When a game can create this level of immersion into its storyline, not just with the gameplay but how they deal with bugs and glitches, it does build an enjoyment not seen very often.
It seems the developers are acting as if they are the fictional Ministry of Truth in Helldivers 2. Appointing a developer to act as Game Master and take an interest in players' opinions and progression shows that Arrowhead truly cares about making their game something special.

Shriekers are Officially Real in Helldivers 2
After many announcements saying that the bugs cannot and will never fly, Super Earth has finally stated that Shriekers exist. Even when shown photographic evidence, they ignored the signs and blamed bug sympathizers. The director of Arrowhead himself had posted saying Shriekers are nothing more than propaganda.
Now the flying bugs are out of control in Helldivers 2. The Ministry of Truth can no longer argue with the facts. They released an in-game dispatch admitting the Shriekers' existence.
A new strain of flying Terminids has suddenly appeared across all Terminid planets, with no prior warning or indication of any kind. While the Ministry of Intelligence has always known this was a possibility, the abruptness of the evolution indicates a high possibility of dissident concealment.

New mission objectives have us hunting down the Shriekers. They are real and we need to kill them. I suppose you can’t ask for more than that. I wonder when they will admit the Illuminate are here.
It would have been nice if they admitted our frontline troops have been fighting the flying bugs for days now and multiple helldivers have lost their lives in those battles. It seems they don't pay us to think. They pay us to do our job and kill bugs. We are very good at our job.
