Helldivers 2 Guide: How to Destroy Fuel Silo

The Automatons in Helldivers 2 are powered by fuel held in large buildings called Silos. Destroying the Fuel Silos is an important mission to slow down the enemy robots. However, Fuel Silos are sturdy and hard to damage with normal weapons. This guide shows the method to successfully demolish Fuel Silos in Helldivers 2.

How to Spot a Fuel Silo in Helldivers 2?

Fuel Silos appear as mission objectives during campaigns against the Automaton faction. When scanning an area, look around for thick cylindrical structures much larger than other buildings, with multiple red lights dotting their exterior. These hardened bunkers contain the precious fuel reserves powering the Automaton war machine, so blast them to pieces! 

Silos often defend by squadrons of hostile robots, so expect a fight before you can demolish them. Clearing the area of enemies first makes things much simpler.

How to Destroy Fuel Silos in Helldivers 2?

Standard weaponry and explosives barely scratch these sturdy Silos. These bulky Silos withstand even intense gunfire and explosions from afar. To crack them open, you need a stratagem known as the Hellbomb. 

Once you have cleared the enemies approach towards the Fuel Silos,  and summon the Hellbombs once the area is cleared. These powerful bombs can only be called in a mission zone. Interact to reveal the arming terminal, and input the required launch sequencing code. 

This ignites the Hellbomb's countdown timer so make sure to sprint outside of the radius. 

With no remaining Automatons to disrupt it, the devastating Hellbomb will then successfully vaporize the target Fuel Silo. Keep using them to smash the Silos apart and slow the robot threat.
