Chococat is one of the initial characters that you get to encounter in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. He is an adventurous cat that will follow you through almost all parts of the main story and will be the one to show you how to use the Power Crystals and much more. While raising your friendship level with Chococat will not directly unlock any major main story missions, he is still an amazing character that you’ll want to build up thanks to his character abilities.

The best gift you can give Chococat when you’re first starting out is the [Blank Book]. Unfortunately, Chococat does not have any decent items for new players. Most of the items that you can give Chococat require you to have upgraded the Espresso Machine or to have him at Friendship Level 6, which only leaves the Blank Book as a viable option for the first 1-2 days of gameplay.
How to Craft
Players can craft the Blank Book item at the Crafting Table near Chococat. There are two ways to craft a Blank Book, both using different items. The first way is to use 3 [Paper]. This is the route we recommend, as you can easily obtain paper by giving gifts to Badtz-maru. The other way to craft a Blank Book is by using 3 [Lotus Blossom]. This is also a viable way to craft the Blank Book, as Lotus Blossoms can be found all over the Spooky Swamp and in parts of the Seaside Resort. There are a total of 14 lotus blossoms that you can collect each day, so you shouldn’t have to worry about crafting the Blank Book.

The other gift that we recommend for Chococat is the [Chocolate Chai]. To be able to get this item, you first need to have upgraded the Espresso Machine, so sadly this is not an item you can get on your first day of playing Hello Kitty Island Adventures. Having said that, the Chocolate Chai is way better when compared to the Blank Book, and it comes with a gift value of 5, meaning that you will get 5 Gizmos from Chococat, instead of the 3 that you would get if you gave him a Blank Book.
How to Craft
To craft the [Chocolate Chai], you first need to have unlocked the upgraded espresso machine. After you’ve unlocked it, there are two recipes you can use to craft this gift item. The first involves a [Candlenut], a [Chocolate Coin], and a [Cinna Bloom]. The second involves a [Candlenut], a [Chocolate Coin], and a [Magma Bloom]. There is no better recipe in this case, as both Cinna Blooms and Magma Blooms are items that can be gathered in Mount Hothead. Candlenuts you can get by giving gifts to Hangyodon, and the Chocolate Coin can be found anywhere in the Rainbow Reef.
