The best item you can give as a gift to Retsuko when just starting out is the [Toasty Pizza]. While the Toasty Pizza uses Dough to make, you will still make more than enough Dough back by giving it as a gift. This is because the Toasty Pizza is a 3-value gift, and you will get 3 Dough each time you gift it to Retsuko. While this gift is slightly lower in value, most of Retsuko’s high-value items are locked behind mid- to end-game updates, so for the first few days, the Toasty Pizza is your best bet!

To craft a Toasty Pizza, you will need [Dough] and a [Toasted Almond]. Dough you can get by giving gifts to Retsuko, while Toasted Almonds can be found scattered around Mount Hothead.

The other gift you can make when you’re just starting out is the [Swampy Music Box]. This item has a good gift value of 6, but it is a bit expensive to make. Having said that, it is an amazing gift to give to Retsuko if you have an abundance of Ingots, and apart from the Ingot, the items for it are easy to obtain.
How to Craft
To craft the Swampy Music Box, you will need a [Mechanism], an [Ingot], and 5 [Mushrooms]. You can get Mechanism by using 3 Gizmos to craft them, and Gizmos can be obtained by giving gifts to Chococat. Ingots, in turn, require 3 Iron to craft, and you can get Iron by roaming around Mount Hothead and the Crystal Caves. You can get a total of 14 irons per day. Lastly, the mushrooms can be found in the Spooky Swamp, and you can collect up to 50 mushrooms per day, so don’t worry about them running out!
