Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 is just around the corner, and with it, we can expect a lot of new and exciting content to sink our time into, such as a new addition to the main story, a new Divergent Universe mode, new characters to build up and use, and more. New Main Story
A new part of the Trailblaze Mission [Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne] will become available in Version 3.1. This version will expand on the current story while also adding two new areas known as the [“Murmuring Woods” Grove of Epiphany] and the [“Sanctum of Prophecy” Janusopolis]. These areas will also come with various new enemies.

New Enemies
There will be a total of 5 new enemies added in version 3.1, which will be found in the two new areas mentioned above. The 5 new enemies are:
- Flame Reaver of the Deepest Dark
- Tide-Eroded Blade
- Noontide Gryphon
- Moonlit Pegasus
- Meteoric Eagle
New Characters
Two new limited 5-star units will make their way in Version 3.1. These units are:
- Tribbie (Quantum - Harmony)
- Mydei (Imaginary - Destruction)
Tribbie will be available during the first phase of the version, while Mydei will become available in the second phase.
New Light Cones
Alongside the two new 5-star units, we can also expect to get new signature 5-star light cones for both of them. The signature Light Cones for both Tribbie and Mydei are as follows:
- If Time Were a Flower (Harmony)
- Flame of Blood, Blade My Path (Destruction)
In addition to these two new light cones, Herta’s Shop will also get a new addition in the form of the 5-star Remembrance Light Cone, the [Memory’s Curtain Never Falls].

New Events
Version 3.1 will feature a total of 2 unique events for players to explore, while also having a re-run of the Gift of Odyssey.

New Divergent Universe Update
Version 3.1 will also add a new mode to the Divergent Universe known as the [Protean Hero]. This mode will introduce a completely new mechanic that involves using different day and night cycles to gain various buffs to boost your teams.
New Items
With the addition of new zones and new enemies, players will also get the chance to farm for two new materials known as the [Darkveil Moonlight] and the [Harbinger of Strife]. You can farm the Darkveil Moonlight from the new [Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Gelidmoon], while the Harbinger of Strife will be available from the [Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Sloggyre].
New Planar Ornaments
In Version 3.1 players can additionally begin farming for the two new planar ornament sets known as the [Bone Collection’s Serene Demense] and the [Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding]. Both of these sets will be available in the Divergent Universe’s Planar Extraction after the release of Version 3.1, so make sure to save up your energy for them!

System Optimizations
Lastly, there will be a total of three major systems optimizations that will take place in Version 3.1. The first will make it so that you can now synthesize purple (4-star) materials straight from green (2-star) materials, completely skipping the need to create any blue (3-star) materials.
Additionally, we can also expect an update to the [Build Guide] feature, which will allow us to more easily set new characters to build, while also allowing us to set characters that have still not come out as a [Build Target].
Finally, a new item known as the [Tears of Souls] will be added alongside the Divergent Universe: Protean Hero. This item can substitute materials dropped by enemies.
