LoL 14.21 Tier List: Best Mid Lane Champions

LoL Patch 14.21 buffed Irelia's Q in many ways - lesser mana cost, smaller cooldown, and more damage. However, you must keep in mind that her R no longer reduces the Q cooldown and her Q has lesser bonus damage to minions.

Brand is getting demoted from the A-tier after a serious nerf. He has lesser mana regen, his passive deals less damage and his Q costs more mana. You'll have a harder time with him in lane but he's still a decent pick. 

If you follow our tier lists, you might know that Yone and Yasuo usually go hand in hand. However, this ranking is different. The item changes work better for Yasuo, while his brother is suffering from lesser W damage.

We can expect mid Nasus to be less popular now that his passive and Q were hit by the nerf hammer.

Kata is keeping her position from the last tier list, being a highly mobile assassin but a good choice only for the seasoned players.

Annie brings decent burst damage, stun, and reliable crowd control from Tibbers to the Summoner's Rift.

Twisted Fate is a good pick if you're looking to support teammates across the map. His Gold Card can provide some versatile crowd control as well.

Ekko is still in the B-tier. He relies heavily on his mobility and time-reversing ultimate.

Fizz is absolutely not as powerful as he used to be. Once a go-to easy win champion for new players, now he's a good choice only for the mains.

If used correctly, Jayce can be a lane bully, switching between melee and ranged forms.

Qiyana finds herself in the A-tier after a buff to her base HP regain, making her more sustainable in lane, and a buff to her W bonus AD damage.

Malphite is one of the lucky champions who got a buff. With a better base HP, making him more sustainable, he's climbing up to the A-tier.

Is good to see this midlaner amongst the good champion picks once more. You'll definitely feel a change to his W in your next game, as it got buffed.

Aurelion Sol got hit by a nerf, both to his HP and E damage. However, he's still a great choice, replying on his great roaming capabilities.

Aurora finds herself in the A-tier thanks to her burst and mobility. She performs decently in Ranked, especially in the early game. Just make sure you don't fall behind.

Kassadin is no longer OP, having less powerful Q and E after update 14.21 was introduced to League of Legends.

Xerath can deal insane poke damage while staying safe at a distance, thanks to his huge range. This makes him an amazing choice for Ranked.

One of the queens of roaming in LoL. Diana's burst and AOE abilities make her a huge threat to any team. 

Akshan can be a quite versatile LoL champion, offering strong assassination potential, mobility, and a powerful revive ability.

Corki is the unexpected star of patch 14.21. He can thank the huge buff he received to his Passive, W, and Ult. You'll definitely be seeing more of this champion in your Ranked games.

Galio might have received a nerf in the recent League of Legends update but he's still amazing. The change to his base mana was introduced in order to stop him from being too OP.

Similar to Galio, Hwei has been nerfed but you can't tell by his performance. He's doing amazing in the current meta and you should definitely give him a chance.

Anivia is killing it in LoL patch 14.21. Her crowd control and zone control abilities make her amazing in the lane and great with defending objectives.

Recently Syndra returned to the midlane meta and she's here to stay, offering some amazing clears and bursts.

Vigar has insane scaling power with Phenomenal Evil Power. This makes him become even more dangerous as the game progresses. 

Lux is always a great champion pick, offering great crowd control and poke, and her long-range ultimate.

Vel'Koz has great damage and long-range poke. He's a true lane bully and an especially strong one in patch 14.21.

This assassin-mage hybrid replies on her charm and high mobility to destroy the enemies.

LeBlanc is best known for her deceptive playstyle, allowing for some amazing outplays. Her burst also helps a lot. 

Cassiopeia brings great area control, which makes her amazing in team-fights. Don't underestimate her scaling either.
