Historically, MSI has been an exhilarating precursor to the League of Legends World Championship. Not only due to being one of the major international LoL Esports tournaments, but also showcasing which teams are favored to become the new World Champs.
Please keep in mind that the tournament is still a month away at the time of writing this article so we will make sure to provide the rest of the participants once they have gone through their respective domestic championships and qualification processes.

MSI 2025 Format
This year, the tournament will be held in Vancouver, Canada starting from June 27, 2025 until July 12, 2025 at the Pacific Coliseum. A total of 10 teams will go to MSI, equally split among the five major regions:
- 2 from Korea (LCK)
- 2 from China (LPL)
- 2 from EMEA (LEC)
- 2 from Americas (LTA North & LTA South)
- 2 from Asia-Pacific (LCP)
Stage 1 (Play-In)
- 4 Teams
- Double Elimination Bracket
- Best-of-Five (Bo5) Matches
- Top 2 Teams Advance to Stage 2
Stage 2 (Bracket)
- 8 Teams
- Double Elimination Bracket
- Best-of-Five (Bo5) Matches
- Winner Qualifies for the 2025 Season World Championship (only if the winning team reaches the Split 3/ Summer Playoffs in their region)
- The second best region in the final standings will also unlock a 4th seed for its domestic league at Worlds 2025

MSI 2025 Participants
Given the fact that most of the major regions are still undergoing their domestic championship split, it is still early to determine which teams will represent their region, but we already have one team that has secured a spot at MSI this year.
