A Rioter recently tweeted that VFX updates were added to both Nidalee and Ashe, seeing how these old champions were starting to look off in comparison to the champions from recent years. It is great to see Riot Games revisiting old champions and polishing them to make them more visually appealing and modern, given how many changes we have seen to League of Legends.
Although Riot Games has been heavily criticized for abandoning their older champions to prioritize pumping out skins for profitable champions, we are seeing some slight improvements in terms of relaying the same amount of passion for less popular champions.
With the recent Skarner rework and Lee Sin VSU, we might see even more champion visual updates to better match the current League of Legends aesthetics.

The changes include the following:
- Nidalee's Q spear now ramps up VFX with distance, indicating the higher damage output.
- Nidalee's W in Cougar form now shows AoE on all of her skins.
- They have also added appropriate effects to her themed skins (Snow Bunny Nidalee now has snow, Pharaoh Nidalee has sand, etc.)

Ashe also received some love from the team as her ultimate is now much more clear in terms of her hitbox so players can now more easily dodge her arrow.

Overall, these are some nice quality-of-life changes that will not only add visual clarity when playing with or against these champions, but it is always nice to see some touch-ups to make the game more pleasant to look at. Hopefully, Riot Games continues this trend and revisits other champions in dire need of reworks and polish.
