The League of Legends 2024 Mid-Season Invitational Bracket Stage has begun with everything on the line for the remaining 8 teams. This stage will include a single Bo5 double-elimination format so we can expect a banger series from the get-go.
With that being said, we will be taking a look at the first Bo5 series between the only remaining LCS team in the face of Team Liquid as they will face one of the strongest LPL teams- Top Esports.
Although most fans and analysts predict the LPL and LCK to dominate the tournament, a recent interview with the top laner for TES, 369, stated how much the Western players have improved in comparison to their last year's performance.

MSI 2024 TL vs TES Match Result
We will go through all of the games that were played out, as well as the champion picks.
Game 1 TL vs TES 0-1
TL | Role | TES |
Impact | TOP | 369 |
UmTi | JNG | Tian |
APA | MID | Creme |
Yeon | BOT | JackeyLove |
CoreJJ | SUP | Meiko |
Despite a rather calm early game, TL was unable to establish a significant lead from the lane swap as 369's Urgot was able to successfully soak up enough experience and deny any advantages on the side of TL. A very clean double kill from JackeyLove on top lane further escalated and solidified TES as the team pushed the game forward.
Following some early game mishaps, TL was able to stabilize, however, a couple of unsuccessful team fights led the LCS pro team astray. Although TL was quick to engage TES, their clunky fights led TES to accrue small but meaningful leads, ultimately securing the first win in this Bo5 series.

Game 2 TL vs TES 0-2
TES | Role | TL |
369 | TOP | Impact |
Tian | JNG | UmTi |
Creme | MID | APA |
JackeyLove | BOT | Yeon |
Meiko | SUP | CoreJJ |
This time around, TL decided to opt for a scaling comp, and despite some early-game shenanigans, TES was able to quickly establish a significant lead, further cementing their series dominance.
Game 3 TL vs TES 0-3
TES | Role | TL |
369 | TOP | Impact |
Tian | JNG | UmTi |
Creme | MID | APA |
JackeyLove | BOT | Yeon |
Meiko | SUP | CoreJJ |
Although the early game was favored on the side of TL, ultimately, TES was able to outplay and defeat TL by displaying amazing macro skills, a more focused approach to team fighting, and overall better laning phases.
With TES securing a clean 3-0 win over TL, the LPL second seed advances further into the Upper Bracket where they might face either GEN or FNC. With TL now slotted in the Lower Bracket, there is a chance they recover from this defeat and adapt to the meta.
