Given the significant meta shifts with each patch, some champions start climbing up the ranks, whilst others become subpar. League of Legends is constantly changing its focus in terms of gameplay, and with frequent balance adjustments, some champions stick out more due to their kit.
With that in mind, we will take a look at the best support champions you can pick in 25.10 (15.10) to win as many games as possible.

Tier List Explanation

This tier list will examine some of the most-played League of Legends champions in the bot lane. Keep in mind that this is for Emerald+ divisions.
- S-Tier: The best champions you can use to ensure you are always victorious.
- A-Tier: Great options but lacking just slightly either in terms of damage or utility.
- B-Tier: Viable and reliable in most situations, you can manage rather decently.
NOTE: Although this tier list strives to be as objective as possible in terms of viability, you should not limit yourself to strictly adhere to this list, but rather experiment and see which champion feels fun to play with.

S-Tier Support Champions

Despite the constant barrage of nerfs, Lulu is still dominating solo queue. The devs are struggling to balance her kit, and it might be some time before she steps down from the top of the list.

Braum is excellent for peeling and defending your carries, and has decent CC which make him a great pick.

Nami is rising due to Lucian, and Lucian due to Nami so it's a bit of symbiotic relationship but even if you're paired with a different carry, you wil find a lot of success.

Thresh is once again at the top of the list due to his great utility and overall well-rounded kit giving him just enough CC and tankiness.

Milio is another excellent pairing for Lucian, and the healing coupled with CC cleanse is great in team fights.

Leona is the age-old engage support that never fails in her task of locking down carries.

Elise has become quite meta made popular not only because of the LCK players but her overall versatility is great when it comes to roaming and setting up objectives.

Janna is a great champion to have on hand when dealing with dive-heavy comps, and her utility, shield, and healing make her a well-rounded enchanter.

A-Tier Support Champions

Alistar is amazing, especially when you get the chance to execute your combo several times during a team fight. Being able to tank the bulk of the incoming damage is also a great way to help your team achieve victory.

Sona has seen a lot of play recently and her rather easy playstyle makes it even more tempting to try her out.

Rakan is a great partner to Xayah and you can get a lot of mileage due to his snappy movements giving your team the much-needed CC and engage.

Taric can be a bit tricky to navigate due to his ultimate, but his laning phase is great when dealing with short-range champions.

Vel'Koz is decent when paired with a long-ranged carry that can ensure you get prio in your lane.

For what Pantheon lacks in defensive capabilities, he more than makes up for in sheer aggression and engage.

Morgana is great into CC-heavy team comps, and her snare can be one of the most frustrating experiences for the enemy champions.

Annie is also gaining traction as a support, given her great point-and-click CC, coupled with decent damage. If you manage to get 2-3-man Tibbers, you are set for victory.

B-Tier Support Champions

Shen is a hit-or-miss in the bot lane as most of the time you will struggle to find the right angle to engage on the enemy bot lane, but your global ultimate is great should your team often engage in skirmishes.

Pyke is a great snowballing champion that can easily determine the outcome of a match if he manages to get kills in the early game.

Renata Glasc is overall a fantastic support, but her kit can be quite tricky to navigate at time.

Zyra's damage has been gutted, but she still remains quite the nuisance as a support, especially once you pick up a Liandry's Torment.
