New Streaming Platform for LoL eSports
Riot Games have sent out a survey to players asking them whether they would be interested in a separate streaming platform for the competitive scene of League of Legends. The platform would have its own chat, personalized emotes and your own profile where you could customize your avatar. The platform would also offer a customazible signboard you can post in the chat to highlight a great play or simply bring more hype to the game everyone is watching.

Monetization
With League of Legends' dominance in the eSports scene, it seems Riot Games is looking into further expanding their influence on the competitive side of the game with the idea of creating a dedicated experience for LoL fans to watch their favorite teams battle on the Rift.
Rioters are also asking whether players would be willing to pay for cosmetics within the streaming platform as shown in the video below:

Initial Reaction
Although most players are happily embracing the streaming platform as that would bring a more personalized experience for fans of the game and the eSports scene, some have shared concerns over Riot's attempt at monetization.
Riot really posturing to take over the entertainment industry huh
Of course, if Riot are to monetize the platform that could potentially mean that less ads would play during the games or the service would be adless altogether.
actually insane
things riot do better than doing games:
-Music 10/10
-Animations
-web apps
-ads
