Why is Vanguard Being Delayed? When will Vanguard be released in LoL?

The Vanguard anti-cheat system was supposed to be released with Update 14.4. However, Riot devs ran into bugs while testing it. The issue surfaced during the diagnostics checks currently underway, and it will be fixed by Riot's team soon.

The launch of Vanguard in LoL has been postponed to patch 14.5, which will be released on March 6th. Unfortunately for many fans, Riot is set on this change despite the small drawback.

The Vanguard Anti-Cheat System has sparked lots of discussions among League of Legends fans. This feature is a controversial choice made by Riot Games. The issue isn't that it will stop cheaters. This Chinese anti-cheat system requires deep-level access to players' PCs. Some even called it 'spy software' as Vanguard will be able to access much of your personal information, although Riot claims they won't be doing that.

Many people also mention that Vanguard will run even if you're not playing League of Legends. Another huge issue is that the modding community for LoL will be done for—there will be no custom skins or maps for fans to enjoy.

On the plus side, Vanguard will surely put an end to all scripters and cheaters in League of Legends, making the Ranked climb way more enjoyable. Riot is not giving up on Vanguard; they're just postponing the release. You can learn more about Vanguard in this article.
