LEC 2025 Spring Split Format and Matches

The second split of the America's League of Legends North Conference is approaching fast and a lot of changes have been added to the format to better accommodate both player and fan feedback, given the Split 1 shortcomings. With that being said, here is everything you need to know about the format for this split:
Positioning Phase
- 8 teams
- Weeks 1-3
- Single Round Robin
- Best-of-one (Bo1) matches
- After week 3, teams will be split into two groups of four, constructed in a snake system
Group Phase
- Weeks 4-6
- Single Round Robin within each group
- Best-of-three (Bo3) matches
Cross Group Battles
- Week 7
- Top 2 teams of each group play each other for seeding, while the bottom two teams play elimination matches
- Best-of-three (Bo3) matches
Playoffs
- Top 6 teams qualify
- Top 4 teams start in the winners' bracket
- 5th and 6th start in the losers' bracket
- Double elimination bracket
- Best-of-five (Bo5) matches
- Champion qualifies for the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational
- Top two teams qualify for the Esports World Cup 2025
