The Test of Courage is a completely optional side quest that doesn't affect the ending of your game, however, because it's easy to skip, you can miss out on earning a Trophy before you've completed the story. We've prepared this step-by-step guide explaining where you can do the challenge, how much it will cost you, as well as what kind of rewards you'll reap from it.

Note: We recommend you raise your Courage to Rank 5 before attempting the challenge, as the final jump will require high Courage stats.

How to Start the Test of Courage

Progress through the story to unlock Martira City.
Once you get to Martira City, head north from the market.
You'll reach a wooden platform on a cliff and NPCs standing around it.
Interact with the Spirited Youth to start the challenge.

How to Pass the Test of Courage

Select "I'll take the Plunge." to begin the challenge for 250 Reeves.
Your Courage Virtue will increase after the cut-scene plays after each attempt.
Do this 3 times to get the At Your Own Risk trophy, with each time the rope thinning out and the fee going up to 500 Reeves for your final attempt.
