Monster Hunter Wilds will be launching on PC this Friday, February 28, 2025. The game will be the newest addition to the Monster Hunter franchise and is set to add a ton of new features to the game while also revamping the amazing graphics that we once got to experience in Monster Hunter World. However, with a revamp to graphics also comes stricter system requirements, and from what we’ve seen on the net, not everyone is quite happy with how things are turning out. The current PC requirements for the game scare a lot of the player base, as they are not exactly low, but those who manage to meet them will certainly be in for a treat when the game launches later this week. Now then, let’s not waste any more time and see what parts your PC needs to have in order to be able to run Monster Hunter Wilds.
Table of Contents
Minimum PC Requirements
Below you can find the minimum PC requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds.
Part | Requirement |
Resolution | 1080p (Upscaled) |
OS | Windows® 10 (64-BIT Required) |
Processor |
|
Memory | 16GB |
Graphics Card |
|
VRAM | 6GB |
Storage | 75GB SSD |
Expected Frame Rate | 30 |
Additional Notes | SSD required. This game is expected to run at 1080p (upscaled from 720 native resolution)/30FPS under the "Lowest" graphics setting. DirectStorage supported. |
Meeting the above requirements should allow you to run the game at stable FPS on the lowest settings of the game. While the game will certainly appear choppy and won’t be as pleasant to look at, it will still hopefully run at decent FPS, allowing you to enjoy the new features Monster Hunter Wilds has to offer.

Recommended PC Requirements
Below you can find the recommended PC requirements for Monster Hunter World.
Part | Requirement |
Resolution | 1080p (Upscaled) |
OS | Windows® 10 (64-BIT Required) |
Processor |
|
Memory | 16GB |
Graphics Card |
|
VRAM | 8GB |
Storage | 75GB SSD |
Expected Frame Rate | 60 |
Additional Notes | SSD required. This game is expected to run at 1080p/60FPS (with Frame Generation enabled) under the "Medium" graphics setting. DirectStorage supported. |
Meeting the above requirements should allow you to run the game at stable FPS on medium to high settings. The game will certainly look better, but given the gripes of the community, you might just have to opt for some frame generation to further boost your experience or even run the game on its maximum settings. Having said that, if you’re still playing at 1080p, then meeting the recommended PC requirements should net you a great experience, but anything above that might be a bit tedious. We hope that CAPCOM will surprise us tomorrow with a better-optimized game so that everyone will be able to enjoy the game regardless of whether they have a high-end machine or something a bit older.
