This implies that LoL players must adhere to new requirements to receive patches, update their client, and continue playing the game. Here's what we know so far.

LoL Windows System Update Requirements

Riot has recently announced that League of Legends will won't support for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. Therefore, LoL players will be have to update their Windows operating systems to Windows 10 and above to ensure smooth gameplay and access to the latest patches. If you currently use any of these operating systems, you'll need to upgrade.

League of Legends System Requirements:

  • League of Legends will now be compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • League of Legends will no longer support Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.
  • The System Requirement changes will take effect with Patch 14.4, available in February 2024
