Once Human is currently one of the most popular survival games out there, and a large portion of the community is now wondering whether they can play the title in first-person mode or not.
It seems like the most common claim is that aiming with ranged weapons and defeating bosses will become much easier if we have the option of choosing a different mode. Although there is no first-person alternative in Once Human yet, the developers have finally spoken on the matter.

Once Human First-Person Mode Player Demands
Once Human is a third-person perspective game, and everything that happens is seen over the shoulder of your chosen character. However, players noticed that there are some moments that you can activate a first-person mode, and it simplifies the gameplay experience a lot.
It turns out that when you hold down the aim key, it zooms in, and you become significantly more accurate when using ranged weapons. By clicking and releasing the aim key, you enter a different perspective on other weapons as well. Fans are now flooding the Internet with requests, asking the developers to add this feature to the game in general.

Once Human First-Person Mode Developers' Response
While fans would definitely be pleased to see an FPS mode in Once Human, it looks like Starry Studio has no intentions of adding the feature to the game in the near future. Although the developers said that they might consider doing so at some point, this is not in their plans at all for now.
Including a first-person perspective may result in conflicts with current game design. In response to your requests, we will consider adding first-person elements into future scenarios and game modes. However, we have no plans to add an FPS mode to the game now.

Even though the developers denied any plans for adding a first-person mode at this point, fans remain hopeful that it will eventually happen. However, considering how the game ran into some issues after its first update on July 18, perhaps avoiding such major new features is not such a bad idea.
