Tips for Pokémon GO Raid Battles
Raid Battles are a fun way to catch rare and powerful Pokémon in Pokémon GO. They occur when Boss Pokémon takes over Gyms, indicated by eggs hatching or an ongoing Raid. Defeating the Boss grants special rewards and Premier Balls to catch it.
Team Up
These battles are quite difficult, so cooperating with other trainers is highly recommended rather than taking on Raids alone. The more trainers involved, the greater the chance of success.
Pick Your Raid Tier
Raid tiers range from 1 to 5-Stars, plus exclusive Mega Raids. Higher tiers host stronger Boss Pokémon, making them harder to beat. Check Raid Boss difficulty before participating.
Deal Maximum Damage
Aim to inflict as much damage as possible on the Raid Boss with your best attacking Pokémon. This increases Premier Ball rewards for catching it after winning.
Use Raid Passes
A Raid Pass or Premium Raid Pass allows you to join one Raid Battle per day. Remote Raid Passes are also available to battle Raids far away. Earn free passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs daily.
Catch Effectively
When the battle ends, use Premier Balls to catch the defeated Boss with excellent throws and Golden Razz Berries. Curveballs, Medals, and Gym control boost catch rate too.
