At the beginning of Valorant Episode 7, Riot announced that Valorant would introduce two new Agents in 2023, along with a new map. One of these agents is the Sentinel Deadlock, and the other is an unreleased Duelist.
The forthcoming agent will become the seventh Duelist on Valorant's roster and the first to join since January 2022 when Neon was introduced to the game.
On September 29, Riot Games shared an image hinting at the Agent's origin. While the information is cryptic, here's what we can decipher:
New Valorant Agent May Have Chinese Origins
The latest teaser image from Riot features an Agent wearing gloves and using chopsticks to enjoy a meal. The image is titled "duckblood," which could potentially relate to a popular Chinese delicacy.
There is a significant possibility that the new Duelist might hail from China, especially considering that Valorant was only released in China in July.
Riot stated, "This next Agent is for you. We've also got a little twist you never thought would make it into VALORANT... well... Some of you mayyyy have been dreaming in the right direction."
Until Riot officially confirms the Agent's nationality, it's advisable to approach this information with a degree of caution.
