Shangri-La Frontier Episode 18: Recap

The last episode was filled with amazingly animated intense fight scenes. One of the battles we witnessed was between Arthur Pencilgon, Katzo, and Wezaemon's mechanical monster, Kirin. Despite their struggles and Kirin's non-stop attacks and missiles, Arthur and Katzo manage to counter the mecha by combining their powers and finding a weak spot in its waist.

After deliberately sacrificing herself, Pencilgon respawns and impales Kirin with her last two spears, dealing immense damage and enabling Katzo to finish it off with a Dark Overstrike Fist.

After their victory, we witness more of Sunraku and Wezaemon's fight. At the beginning of the episode, Sunraku comes up with a strategy enabling him to revive himself by tossing his revival orb before being struck, ensuring it lands on him. Despite getting severely damaged throughout, Sunraku carefully observes his opponent and formulates an attack plan. However, in the critical moment when he prepares to strike, he realizes his calculations are incorrect and is unable to activate his Climax Boost.

Just as defeat seems inevitable, Pencilgon manages to distract Wezaemon by throwing a knife, providing Sunraku with the opportunity to wound himself. This action reduces his HP to 1, allowing him to activate Climax Boost for a final blow. This concludes their incredible fight, with Wezaemon remembering the good times he shared with Setsuna.
