Ladies and gentlemen, Brant is finally out, and he is the third limited 5-star male unit to enter the Wuthering Waves roster. And if you’re like me, then you won’t even have to think twice about pulling for him. However, if you aren’t a diehard husbando collector, then you’ll likely first consider if Brant can improve your account or not before deciding to jump the gun and pull for him. Well, that’s what I’ll discuss in this piece.

Is Brant Strong?

Brant is, without a doubt, an interesting unit. He can work both as a main DPS and a sub DPS while also providing some decent support and utility thanks to his shield and healing. He is a fun unit to play and one that definitely makes use of the verticality in Wuthering Waves, given that most of his attacks happen while he’s airborne. He is a bit of an oddball as a DPS. Unlike other DPS units, Brant doesn’t scale with ATK but rather with Energy Regeneration. This can be a bit tricky to manage if you don’t get his signature weapon, and given that his best-in-slot echo set wants him to reach the 250% Energy Regen threshold, his weapon is somewhat of a must-have. That being said, Brant is also quite versatile and easy to build even without his signature weapon, and you can for sure make him work with what you already have. He deals decent damage, he’s an amazing teammate for Changli, and best of all, he’s a tall, limited 5-star male.

Should You Pull for Brant?
Honestly, I wouldn’t classify Brant as a must-pull unit. Yeah, he can probably make your Changli stronger, and he fits nicely in some Fusion teams, but that’s just about it. He isn’t some game-breaking unit that you will want to have on your roster, nor is he some flop that you wouldn’t want to pull on. He’s just decent. He has good damage, healing, and shielding, making him a bit better than just a standard DPS unit that can only do damage, so Brant is bound to see even more use in the future, thanks to his added support utility. While this makes him a bit more investment-worthy, he is still not top-tier, so what this boils down to is whether you want him or not and whether you enjoy his playstyle or not.
