Hyacine is finally out, and coupled with her friend, the community’s favorite Fat ****, she has completely turned the meta on its head with how absolutely unreal she is. Hyacine is one of the most desirable units that Honkai: Star Rail has ever released, and if you still haven’t, then you should honestly consider booting up the game right now and spending a couple of wishes to try and get her.

Is Hyacine Strong?

Hyacine is unreal. She is arguably the best healer in Honkai: Star Rail, and that is on top of everything else she can provide your team with. First of all, there are Hyacine’s heals. She can heal the whole team by a decent amount, and she can do that often, so if you don’t face any team-wipe mechanics, you will surely be able to stay healthy with just Hyacine as a healer. Second, she can buff the team’s MAX HP greatly, making her the best support unit for DPS characters that scale from MAX HP. This includes Castorice, Mydei, and my absolute favorite, Blade. Third, she deals amazing damage for a healer. Hyacine’s damage increases based on the amount of HP she’s healed, so if you pair her with Castorice and Mydei, you are in for some high numbers.
All in all, Hyacine is a powerhouse of a unit that can pretty much do everything there is to do in Honkai: Star Rail, and the best thing about her is that she does all of those things well. Not only is she an amazing healer, but she can also output a ton of damage, putting her on par with some sub-DPS characters.

Should You Pull for Hyacine
Absolutely yes. If you are pulling for meta and looking for the best way to boost your account’s strength, then Hyacine is certainly one of the units you want to have on your roster. If you are, however, pulling mostly for the design of the character itself, then you might not care as much, but it is still worth noting that she is an amazing unit that will make a lot of the game feel easy, thanks to the amount of healing she provides.
Hyacine is a great character to invest in. Her utility is unlikely to be pushed down anytime soon, and powerful sustain units tend to stay in the meta for quite some time. Just look at Luocha and how he’s still viable even today, despite being one of the first units to be released. As such, it is safe to assume that Hyacine will be viable for months, if not years to come, and you won’t regret spending your hard-earned resources on her.
