Should You Pull for Tribbie?

This piece will cover my thoughts on the newly added unit, Tribbie, and whether you should pull for her or not.

Should You Pull for Tribbie?

Tribbie is finally out, and I’m not going to lie to you and try to beat around the bush; she’s simply amazing. As a support unit, she has everything you might need, both from the ridiculous RES PEN buffs and the pure DMG buff on her ultimate. In addition to this, she also has a ton of damage baked into her kit, thanks to her HP scaling follow-up attacks. In short, she’s great, but should you pull for her?

Is Tribbie Strong?

I already briefly covered this, but Tribbie is an amazing support. Most 5-star Harmony units are great, and this has been the case ever since the start of the game with Bronya. They always offer a ton of utility to the team and greatly increase your overall damage. Given that Star Rail is one of HoYo’s games, you should know that building your supports is the thing that will boost your damage the most, not your main DPS units. This is very true for Tribbie, and even more so given that she also has a ton of damage incorporated into her kit. Her ultimate gives her a great follow-up attack that scales from HP%, and if you combine this with some good relics, then you’ll not only be getting a support but also a sub DPS. While there are not many units that can use Tribbie reliably, due to most of her buffs also affecting HP scaling units, in the future, we are sure to encounter more heroes that can make full use of Tribbie’s potential. When that happens, Tribbie is likely to remain the premium support unit for quite some time.

Should You Pull for Tribbie?

The short answer to this is YES. You should strongly consider pulling for Tribbie. While some of you may be put off by her appearance, given that she’s also the first short premium unit that we’ve gotten, we cannot ignore her usefulness. If you’re going purely based on meta, then Tribbie is a unit you need to have on your account. Due to being a character that follows the Path of Harmony, Tribbie is less likely to be powercrept in future versions, and you can be certain that she is a great investment. The only unit that comes remotely close to her usefulness is Ruan Mei, and she is already one of the more premium units in Star Rail, so that by itself should say a lot. Tribbie is definitely a unit that you would want to have on your roster, so if you have the currency, I strongly advise you do some pulls to try and get her. The utility and damage that she brings are top-notch, and the resistance to power creep that she has due to being a Harmony unit is not something that we encounter regularly, especially with Honkai: Star Rail’s recent descent into power creep madness.
