Well, well, well, Trigger is finally out in Zenless Zone Zero, and let me just say that she’s wonderful. Putting aside her character design, Trigger is our second S-Rank Electric Stun unit, and she definitely earns her place right next to Qingyi as a wonderful character to have on your roster. The thing with Trigger is that she’s not only a Stun unit but so much more, and I’ll share with you what that is below!

Is Trigger Strong?

Trigger is indeed strong, like really. I don’t mean that in the sense that she deals a lot of damage, because she honestly doesn’t, but rather in the sense that she’s very practical and quite useful. Trigger excels at buffing the rest of your team. She requires almost no field time. Her whole kit revolves around you using four basic attacks and then completely forgetting about her. This ties in amazingly well with units such as Soldier 0 Anby, who love to hog all the field time, and is also great for almost all other DPS units, as this just means that they have more time to do damage.
However, her low field time is not all that Triger has. She can output good damage with her [Aftershock] attacks, buff the whole team by up to 50%, and even stun at a rate similar to Qingyi, all of this without you even having to play her! All in all, Trigger is an amazing support/buff unit that I believe anyone should have on their account.

Should You Pull for Trigger?

Yes. I honestly believe Trigger is a really good investment for your account. She’s a unit that can be slotted into almost any team with a DPS unit in it, and she’ll do well thanks to her team-wide buffs and good daze build-up. In addition, she also benefits from the [Aftershock] playstyle, which is clearly the meta that HoYo will be trying to push for the next few patches, making her a solid investment both for the short and long term.
