What are the Worshipers in Smite?
The Worshiper system assigns ranks to each god that a player has played, based on how many Worshipers they have gained. These God Ranks indicate how well you perform with different gods.
Worshipers themselves represent the XP in this system. You earn them at the end of every game, and winning games grants you more Worshipers. All game modes provide an equal amount of this XP, except Ranked, where you can earn more.

Why do I Need Worshipers in Smite? What to do With Them?
Collecting Worshipers can grant you many cool skins and cosmetics. When you reach God Rank 1, you also receive a Mastery Level. The more Mastery Levels and Worshipers you have, the better the rewards. For example, you can obtain Gold Mastery Skins at Mastery Level 1, but if you continue leveling up, you can also unlock Legendary and Diamond Skins.
Additionally, achieving more Mastery Levels will earn you special rewards. By collecting more Worshipers and achieving higher ranks for the gods you play, you can acquire some unique cosmetics.
