Solo Leveling's anime adaptation has been a huge success ever since its release in January this year. Both critics and viewers loved the manhwa-based show. Right after the first season was completed in March, we got an announcement for a second part of Season 1. However, the upcoming sequel is now being referred to as Season 2 instead of the second part of the first season.

Solo Leveling Season 2 First Trailer & Plot
During Anime Expo 2024, A-1 Pictures showed the first official trailer for Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow. On the stage at the event were Sung Jinwoo's English and Japanese voice actors, Aleks Le and Taito Ban, respectively. Also present was the A-1 producer of the show, Atsushi Kaneko. For those who weren't at the event, A-1 Pictures thankfully released the trailer on the official Solo Leveling X account.
Solo Leveling's new trailer confirmed that the next arc we will see is the Red Gate Arc. So far, we have seen Jinwoo's origin story and followed him as he began climbing the hunter rank ladder. However, in Season 2, we will get a lot more action involving some side characters.

This focus on the supporting roles was first confirmed in May by another producer of the show, Sota Furuhashi. The producer noted that this aspect of the show has been overlooked in both Season 1 and the manhwa itself. It is very likely that we will get more anime-only scenes that bring more screen time to characters other than Jinwoo.
The trailer also showed Sung Jinwoo back at the Demon Castle, fighting more gigantic magic beasts. We have been waiting to see him climb more of the 100 floors of the castle, so it is good to know that he will be continuing this quest again. Let's see how far he will go this time.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Release Date
We are all eager to find out the official release date for Solo Leveling Season 2, but it hasn't been revealed yet. Even at the end of the new trailer, we just get the words "Coming Soon." There is a lot of speculation about the sequel coming sometime in the winter of this year or at the beginning of 2025. However, those theories are based solely on fans' speculations and supposed leaks, so nothing can be certain.
