Season 2 of Solo Leveling turned into an absolute hit, dominating Crunchyroll's charts. So, as you might guess, the anticipation for Season 3 is at an all-time high. Despite the buzz, there is still no official release window for the next Solo Leveling Season. Crunchyroll's Mitchel Berger hinted at the anime's return, stating, "We don’t know exactly when, but it’s coming." For now, the future of the series remains uncertain until A-1 Pictures formally confirms production. However, here's what we know so far.

Is Solo Leveling Season 3 Confirmed?

Solo Leveling Season 3 hasn't been officially announced or canceled. However, it's inevitable that there will be another season. Season 2 earned over 700,000 ratings and even produced the highest-rated episode in Crunchyroll history. The massive popularity of the series strongly suggests that another season is in the works.

Season 2's Cliffhanger 

Season 2 ended with a dramatic cliffhanger, having adapted seven major arcs from the manhwa, including the much-anticipated Jeju Island Arc. Though some portions were accelerated, the story's intensity only increased. With this arc completed, the narrative is expected to slow down in Season 3, allowing for deeper storytelling and more detailed character development.

Delays Possible Until 2028?

A tweet from the official Solo Leveling account shared a statement from Aniplex producer Sota Furuhashi, suggesting the next season might not arrive until 2028. He explained that the immense workload of 220,000 animation frames across two seasons calls for more time. While he personally favors a longer wait to maintain quality, the decision ultimately lies with Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.

Major Battles to Expect in Season 3

Season 3 will dive deeper into the mythology of the Solo Leveling universe. Questions about the system, the true role of National Hunters, and the mysterious Monarchs will finally be addressed. This season marks the start of Jinwoo's evolution into a global force, setting the stage for even more intense arcs.

Season 3 will introduce some of the most iconic battles in the series:

1. Thomas Andre vs. Sung Jinwoo (Chapters 146-147) This highly anticipated clash between the strongest National-Level Hunter and Jinwoo is set to be a major highlight.

   

    

2. Jinwoo vs. Legia (Monarch of the Beginning) (Chapters 137-138) During the Japan Crisis Arc, Jinwoo uncovers a hidden boss far more dangerous than expected.
