SUPERVIVE Overview

As we already established, SUPERVIVE looks to combine popular games into a seemingly cartoonish and fast-paced experience that will not only test your knowledge but your button-pressing skills. This new title is a top-down hero shooter that looks to innovate the battle royale competition by integrating key design principles from games like League of Legends, Overwatch, Apex Legends, Destiny, and Halo.

According to the game's Steam page, it features multiple game modes ranging from squads in a battle royale map (4 players per team, duos in a battle royale map (2 players per team), arena (4v4), and other special event modes. Sporting a roster of over 16 characters (hunters), you will certainly have a lot of fun trying out the different abilities that come with each hero.

SUPERVIVE Gameplay

SUPERVIVE has your standard WASD movement, coupled with hero-specific abilities you can use to either deal damage, heal allies or give you another avenue of approach or escape when facing enemies. The game currently has 5 specific classes or roles for players to pick from, namely Fighter, Initiator, Frontliner, Protector, and Controller.

Once you queue up for a game, you are thrown into your typical battle royale scenario as you can designate a landing spot for your squad and start rummaging for items, consumables, and neutral creep camps that give you XP upon clearing. You have access to 4 abilities which you can upgrade through your levels. Just like other battle royales, you have a shrinking map with a storm coming your way to deny you much-needed space and resources.

SUPERVIVE Combat

The combat can be pretty hectic at times, especially when you go face-to-face with an enemy squad as the storm advances towards you. You have the option to kill a variety of creep camps that come with their own special abilities and mechanics you need to look out for, and a super boss that gives you awesome upgrades and gear to help you take down the remaining squads.

Not only can you revive teammates, but there is also a base camp feature that lets you repair your armor and replenish health, as well as establish a small perimeter that will help you mark enemies in your vicinity. Despite there being a free demo (at the time of writing this article) for players to try out, SUPERVIVE looks and feels very polished, minus some clunky movement that will most probably be adjusted come the beta release.

All in all, SUPERVIVE seems very promising as more and more content creators, streamers and players pick up the game so if this seems right up your alley, you can wishlist it on Steam. Happy gaming!
