Finally, the League of Legends EMEA Championship has kicked off, and there are so many changes to be excited about. Not only has the game changed due to gameplay adjustments, but the massive roster changes in the LEC might result in a quite fun and exhilarating year of professional play.

A very interesting start to the Winter Split as TH seemed very precise in the early-to-mid-game, however, a single Atakhan flip steamrolled RGE's advantage, leading to an easy Baron and a clean victory. Overall, it seemed as if both teams were scared to make any plays, as the other major leagues avaraged in 30 kills in a single League of Legends game, whereas a 40-minute game in the LEC had only 13 kills.
