One of the most important choices in Helldivers 2 is what kind of armor you are going to be using, not only in terms of how heavy it is, but also the perk that comes along with it. Currently, the game does not allow you to mix and match armors and perks, so finding the perfect combination and building your loadout around it is one of the most important aspects of the game. Arrowhead Game Studios also adds a few new armor sets each month through their Warbond system, which allows players to have even more options in the long run.

With so many different choices available, finding the best option might be overwhelming for some players, so in this article, we are going to list our recommendations for the strongest perks in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2: The Best Armor Perks

Helldivers 2 has a few different perks that can drastically change the way your missions play out. While having 2 extra grenades or 2 extra stims might seem insignificant, these upgrades can turn your loadout into a true specialist or they can help patch some holes that will make it a lot more balanced. All of these perks can be found on a range of Light, Medium, or Heavy armors, and in this list, we are purely going to be going over the perks themselves. Which variant is the best is heavily dependent on your loadout and playstyle. Here is our list:

Engineering Kit

Our first recommendation is the Engineering Kit perk, which will reduce your recoil while crouching by 30%, and it will also increase your maximum grenade capacity by +2. While the recoil reduction is a nice bonus, the highlight here is definitely the grenade capacity. Closing Bug Holes and destroying Automaton Fabricators are going to be a large part of your Helldivers 2 experience, and the best way to do that is by using your grenades. Many loadouts lack the ability to destroy these structures, and by picking this perk, you are going to allow yourself to deal with them easily.

Grenades are also very useful against certain enemies, such as the Scout Striders and Bile Spewers, and being able to have a higher capacity can help you get out of a pinch. If you like using a loadout that lacks the ability to close Bug Holes or doesn't have any AoE options, we highly recommend trying out the Engineering Kit.

Med-Kit

Our second recommendation is the Med-Kit perk. This perk is an amazing all-rounder which will allow you to survive longer on the battlefield. Not only does it provide you with 2 extra stims, but the duration of those stims is also going to be increased by 2 whole seconds. In Helldivers 2, there are a lot of small instances of damage that you take, whether it's melee attacks from Terminids or the random shots across the map from the Automatons, being able to always have a stim on hand is amazing.

There are also a lot of situations in which you are going to have to run through a lot of enemies to reach your objective, and having a stim running can allow you to survive all of the hits you might take. The Med-Kit is not a part of any specific loadout, but we believe that using it on any build will only make it better!

Scout

The Scout perk is a bit different from the others, as it allows you to take a stealthier approach in your missions. Not only does it allow you to generate radar scans with your markers, but it also reduces the range in which enemies can detect you by 30%. If you are the type of player that enjoys actually completing the objectives and will often run off in another direction, then this perk might be perfect for you. While we said that we won't really discuss the different types of armor, we do recommend using a lighter version with this perk, as the synergy speaks for itself.

Servo-Assisted

Our final recommendation is the Servo-Assisted perk, which increases your throwing range by 30% while also providing a substantial increase in your limb health. The highlight of this perk is the throwing range, which will not only help you chuck your grenades at a much longer distance, but it will also allow you to place your Stratagems from a safer distance. Being able to destroy an Automaton Stronghold with an Eagle Airstrike from a longer distance is going to make missions a lot more manageable. Throwing range is also quite underrated against the Terminid faction, as being as far away from the bugs as possible is always a positive. This is another great all-round perk that can be used in pretty much any loadout.

That concludes our list of the best armor perks in Helldivers 2. The game provides with a ton of options on how you want to deal with your enemies and finding the perfect armor is just one of them.
