The First Descendant: How to Unlock Freyna

The First Descendant has taken people by storm as more and more players are logging in to try out this new free-to-play co-op shooter RPG game with luscious visuals and rather simple mechanics. Since the game's launch, The First Descendant has hit an astonishing 180K player count at its all-time peak according to SteamCharts. 

With that in mind, many are already wondering how they can unlock characters in The First Descendant, so without further ado, we will show you how you can unlock Freyna in this guide. 

How to Unlock Freyna in The First Descendant

Freyna is one of the easier Descendants you can unlock as the materials needed do not require that much farming, however, there are some tips and tricks you can utilize to speed up the process. Although the game offers an even easier way of unlocking the character through real money spending (Caliber), you can also farm the needed materials through your gameplay. 

NOTE: The game shows you which missions you need to complete to obtain the needed materials listed below. You simply need to look at the research blueprint in-game for Freyna.

Passive Skill

 

Contagion Links 

• Effect: Increases Toxic Skill Power by the number of nearby enemies inflicted with Poison from Freyna's skill. 

Active Skills

 

Toxic Trauma

• Effect: Throws poison to attack target enemy with damage and inflict Room 0 Trauma onto nearby enemies. 

 

Defense Mechanism

• Effect: Significantly increases DEF. There is a chance of inflicting Room 0 Trauma to enemies upon attack. 

 

Decomposed Poison 

• Effect: Enemies entering the Toxic Swamp receive continuous damage, and become inflicted with Poison and Venom-Soaked. Enemies inflicted with Venom-Soaked leave Toxic Footprints as they move, and enemies that touch Toxic Footprints also become inflicted with Poison. 

 

Venomous Baptism 

• Effect: Changes current Firearm to Venom Baptism. Enemies hit with Venom Baptism bullets are inflicted with Room 0 Trauma.
