Nordhaven is the brand new world introduced in The Sims 4: Business and Hobbies Expansion Pack. There's a lot to explore in this new area, which mixes industrial aesthetics and a fresh green look. Nordhaven has two distinct neighborhoods, Iverstad and Gammelvik, and we'll help you explore the locations and hidden secrets in them.

Iverstad Secrets

Mermaid & Whale

Iverstad is the industrialized neighbourhood of Nordhaven. As you might notice, it has six buildable lots, small parks, and even a swimmable waterfront.  This is the first secret you can explore. Make your sims take a dip near the steps leading into the water and discover a mermaid statue, along with a whale sculpture nearby, on land.

Trashley

Moving on to the next secret, which comes to life at night. It's actually a little creepy but also quite funny. After 5 PM (though sometimes later), sims may encounter Trashley. The funny thing about it is that this mysterious figure is actually a couple of raccoons, dressed in a trench-coat. You can tell by the raccoon tail! Trashley has a shop, selling various random objects—including collectible Trashley Boxes. These mystery boxes, available in different quality tiers, can get you unique collectibles, including Trashley-certified art pieces, which reimagine classic paintings with a raccoon-themed twist. Seems like TS4 is going back to its quirky roots.

Train Station

You definitely need to check out Iverstad's train station, which comes alive at night with glowing lights. Sims can use the station for travel or simply enjoy train-watching, which will give them a strong Happy moodlet.

Meetup Space

Across the bridges from this industrial district lies a concrete island with an additional buildable lot and a wooden boardwalk. Above this space, players will find the Neighborhood Meetup Space, a dynamic hub featuring market stalls selling food, drinks, ceramics, and candy. Some ceramics require a high pottery skill to craft, making this marketplace an easy way to acquire advanced pottery pieces.

Additionally, this area hosts rotating pop-up Meetup Events that change throughout the week, adding variety and encouraging social interactions among Sims. These events will be covered in more detail later.

Canal-Cleaning Locations

Don't forget to check out the canal-cleaning locations. Your sims can clean the canals and fish out Nordhaven Bike Parts while doing so. Get the full set of 45 bike parts and win the exclusive Cycle Dream Drifter Bike.

Gammelvik Secrets

Gamic is the second neighborhood in Nordhaven. It's the more relaxed and livable area, featuring six buildable lots, and colorful homes connected by bridges.

The Church

There aren't a lot of secrets to discover in Gammelvik, but you should visit the historic church, where Sims can go on a Historic Tour. As expected, it's a rabbit-hole event, but it will give your sim a strong Inspired moodlet.

Meetup Area

As in Iverstad, Gammelvik also has a Meetup Area. Check out the market stalls.

Dynamic Meetup Events

Both neighborhoods feature rotating Meetup Events, each catering to different hobbies and skills. It's quite similar to the University and Life & Death events. They occur at a specific time and during specific days:

  • Sweat and Socialize – A fitness-focused event with punching bags, exercise equipment, and a refreshment cooler.

  • Spotlight Stars – Encourages Sims to showcase musical talents with instruments and microphones.

  • Pottery and Pals – Provides pottery wheels and kilns for Sims to craft ceramics.

  • Munch and Mingle – A casual food and drink gathering with grills and picnic tables.

  • Galactic Gambits – Focuses on logic-based activities with chess sets and telescopes.

  • Creative Cowork – Ideal for artistic Sims, offering easels, woodworking tables, and even bonsai trees.

  • Writers and Readers – Features a whiteboard for lectures and designated reading spaces.

Players can manage notifications for these events using the Meetup Information Sign. Here is the schedule.
