V Rising: All Difficulty Settings Explained

V Rising version 1.0 is here, and we now get to enjoy all the amazing opportunities for fun that it has to offer. After the release of the 1.0 update, Stunlock Studios introduced brand new difficulty settings, also known as server settings, that we can adjust to our liking.

Choosing a server setting can be a more challenging task than it seems. We're here to give you all the information you need about the levels of difficulty available in the game, so you can make the perfect choice and immerse yourself in the thrilling adventures of V Rising!

All Difficulty Settings in V Rising

Like many other games, V Rising 1.0 offers three difficulty settings:

• Relaxed Mode
• Normal Mode
• Brutal Mode

Compared to the traditional server settings, Relaxed Mode and Brutal Mode correspond to easy and hard settings, while Normal Mode is set between them in terms of difficulty.

V Rising: Relaxed Mode

If you like taking it easy and having a lot of time to explore the game, then Relaxed Mode would be perfect for you! This server setting allows you to focus on other things except the epic battles in V Rising. Of course, you would still need to fight some enemies, but it's definitely not going to be as intense. Relaxed Mode comes with the following perks:

• Reduced Sun damage
• Blood Drains slower
• Enemies deal less damage
• V Blood bosses have less health

If you don't want to put that much effort into battles with bosses, this difficulty setting is great. Fighting bosses like the Ferocious Bear or Leandra the Shadow Priestess will feel like a walk in the park compared to the next two Modes.

V Rising: Normal Mode

Normal Mode is for every player who likes balance. With this server setting, you'll get to experience the best of both worlds: intense battles and relaxing exploration. Even Stunlock Studios commented on the harmony that the Normal Mode setting offers.

Normal Mode is an experience focused on exploration, building, and challenging combat in V Rising.

Normal Mode is a standard difficulty setting, and it's the same way you've played before the V Rising 1.0 release. Although it might not be the most intense server setting, it still offers very challenging battles compared to Relaxed Mode.

V Rising: Brutal Mode

Do you think you can handle Brutal Mode? Well, then go ahead and give it a shot! However, Stunlock Studios recommends this server setting only for experienced players. Brutal Mode comes with the following perks and challenges:

• Many V Blood bosses have new abilities
• V Blood bosses have more health
• V Blood bosses deal more damage
• V Blood bosses are higher-level
• Enemies deal more damage
• More loot drops from all sources
• Item durability drains more slowly

If you decide to try playing in Brutal Mode in V Rising, make sure to use S-Tier weapons like Slasher, Sword, and Longbow against those powerful enemies. Additionally, don't hesitate to use plenty of healing consumables, such as The Rat and Tainted Heart; you'll definitely need them!

How to Choose Your Experience in V Rising?

By starting a Private Game, you have the option to choose between all three difficulty server settings in V Rising. However, you also have the opportunity to tweak the settings further if you'd like.

All you have to do is click on Advanced Game Settings, right below the three options. For example, this will allow you to increase the spawn rate of items in Relaxed Mode, and if you ever decide to change the settings again after you've started the game, just return to the menu and adjust the options.

How to Choose a Difficulty Setting in V Rising?

Although for most players, Normal Mode would be perfect, if you're an absolute beginner, perhaps you could choose Relaxed Mode. It will give you great opportunities to explore the world of V Rising without constantly getting in trouble. 

However, if you are a seasoned gamer and you have some solid experience with V Rising, you can always set the difficulty level to Brutal Mode and dive into the challenge.
